Juvenile Drug Court

The 21st Judicial District Court Juvenile Drug Court Program is a treatment–a centered system that assists juveniles with substance abuse problems and their families in leading productive, substance-free, and crime-free lives. The program offers intensive rehabilitative services in a structured and supportive environment.

The 21st Judicial District Court Juvenile Drug Court Program provides individualized substance abuse treatment, in-home individual and family counseling services, and intensive supervision. The program is a collaborative effort (District Attorney, The Public Defenders Office, The Juvenile Probation Office, School Board, area treatment providers, and other community-based agencies) designed to promote public safety and reduce juvenile substance abuse. The 21st Judicial District Court Juvenile Drug Court Program is committed to keeping youth with their families whenever possible. In some instances, where the juvenile is experiencing physical withdrawal symptoms, and/or if the juvenile is unable to discontinue the use of substances in our outpatient program, in-patient treatment will be ordered.

The 21st Judicial District Court Juvenile Drug Court Program is an 12 to 18-month program inclusive of 12 months aftercare and monitoring.
